Giving Back

Enriching the lives of the residents of Hale Pulama Mau and the Community

Okage Sama De

The desire to “give back” is often the premise that drives an individual to become a member of JWSF. And the organization’s programs and activities give members hands-on opportunities to do that. One of the most fulfilling is our interactions with residents of Kuakini Home where members can demonstrate our appreciation to those who given much to the community. The Japanese expression that succinctly explains our sentiment is “okage sama de” or “I am who I am because of you.”
